The blunt button probe in F-LINE SUPER LIGHT design has an overall length of 16.5 cm.The maxillary sinus probe is double-ended: Working end 1: Ø 1.5 mm / length 30.0 mm | Working end 2: Ø 1.0 mm / length 30.0 mm (slightly angled)Application: It is used to examine and palpate wounds and fistula canals without damaging the tissue. In dental surgery, the probe can be used to examine foreign bodies in wounds as well as wound cavities and fistulas for depth and direction. For example, after a tooth has been extracted, a connection may form between the oral cavity and the maxillary sinus in the upper jaw (posterior region) (e.g. if the root protrudes into the maxillary sinus) - this should be closed promptly to prevent inflammation.
The button probe "Bowman" #1/2 in 13.0 cm length has a diameter of Ø 0.9 / 1.1 mm. Application: The blunt probe is used to examine and palpate wounds and fistulae without injuring the tissue. In dental surgery, it allows for the examination of foreign bodies in wounds, wound cavities, and fistulae regarding depth and direction. The "blade" in the middle of the sinus probe provides better grip during treatment.
