Periodontal curettes
The curettes in this section are specially designed for cleaning and smoothing the root surfaces in periodontal pockets and for removing subgingival plaque and calculus. The Prichard curette is characterized by its shape, which was specially designed for subgingival cleaning and the clean removal of calculus. The tip and angle of the instrument are designed to allow optimal access to the periodontal pockets. This specialized curette is mainly used in periodontal surgery to remove inflamed tissue from the periodontal pockets and to smooth the root surfaces for better healing.
