EXTRACTION

Precision Tooth Extractions: Modern Dentistry Methods

Tooth extractions are a common procedure in dental practice. In today's modern dentistry, a significant emphasis is placed on an atraumatic approach, ranging from loosening the tooth to complete removal. The focus is on gentle treatment of both hard and soft tissues, aiming to protect the tissue, particularly the bone, and minimize damage. Instruments like dev-luxe or Periotomes are used to loosen the tooth from the alveolar socket, ensuring safe and controlled application. Following this, tooth extraction can be performed in various ways, including rotating, luxating, leveraging, or traditionally with a tooth forceps. In the realm of extraction forceps, devemed offers a wide portfolio.

The highlight is the anatomically shaped GES-LINE (Gentle Extract System), available in three or four lines: GES-LINE STANDARD, GES-LINE SMALL EDITION, GES-LINE BLACK EDITION, and GES-LINE KIDS. The GES-LINE SMALL EDITION is specifically designed for gentle extraction, suitable for small hands such as those of women, with the same forceps mouth but a smaller grip. The GES-LINE BLACK EDITION is fundamentally similar to the GES-LINE STANDARD variant but features a scratch-resistant coating. With the forceps mouth tailored to the tooth, minimal force is required during use. The forceps mouth of GES-LINE forceps runs parallel to the tooth neck, enabling gentle tooth removal. The grip ensures consistent force transmission during rotation, compression, and traction movements, while the sandblasted surface reduces disruptive light reflections during work.
